UNC Charlotte College of Computing and Informatics is participating in the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance.   This allows any faculty member or any student actively registered for any CCI course to download and use most microsoft software.  This agreement does not include Microsoft Office software.

Userids for the download site are created after drop/add registration is completed each semester which is generally the 11th weekday after classes start.   When your userid is created you will be emailed your password to your uncc email address.

Under the Login Help, click the link for password reminder. Type in your full email address and click "Go find it"

Check your email for your password.

Other Microsoft Software Offers

UNCC is now officially signed up with Microsoft/JourneyEd to be able to offer to our students thru the JourneyEd link in our Bookstore page the very attractive price of $84.98 for MS Office 2007 Pro (this is thru the Microsoft Student Select program).

When you get to JourneyEd's page you will be able to select the MS Office Professional product and add it to your shopping cart. When you finally go to the Checkout page you will have to select the radio button indicating that you never ordered from JourneyEd.

Faculty, Staff and Students will have to go thru a Verification process to validate their standing at UNCC. At this point there are 2 modes of verification in place - a manual one where some proof of standing at UNCC sent by email, fax or mail or the automatic one which lets JourneyEd verify electronically the information provided.

Acceptable Forms of Identification for the manual verification are one of the following:

-Copy of dated UNCC ID Card (faculty, staff, student)

-Letter from UNCC on UNCC letterhead (faculty, staff, student)

-Recent UNCC faculty/staff payment stub (faculty, staff)

-A copy of UNCC transcript or recent grade report from UNCC(student)

-Dated, current class schedule (student)
